BGCTC is Planning for Back-to-School Unlike No Other
Back-to-School will look different this year for kids in Thurston County. But even in uncertain times, Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County (BGCTC) plans to be open for youth and teens with programs at its seven Club locations in the upcoming year (2020-21). For many families, the return to school this fall will come with a range of challenges. Our Clubs and staff are here to do whatever it takes to ensure kids have access to resources and support that can help bridge the gap for academic, social, and emotional support needed in these uncertain times.
Read more about how we plan to support youth with remote learning.
The cost for one week of out-of-school Club programming is $115 plus a one-time annual membership fee of $30. There is no charge for teens to attend other than the one-time annual $30 membership fee. BGCTC believes cost should never be a barrier to the Club experience. Scholarships for all fee-based programs are available. Please apply at the front desk of your respective branch.
Full-day programming will begin Tues. Sept. 8. Specific details about Club programming (hours, capacity, meals, transportation, etc.) are being determined. Priority registration will be given to current Club members. BGCTC is also analyzing scenarios to best serve Club youth, especially as it relates to supporting their academic needs related to remote learning.

Did You Know? During this past year, when the threat of COVID closed schools, Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County remained open (and safe!). The Clubs began by first serving youth whose families were first responders and medical personnel and then Clubs transitioned to provide summer camps to kids who need the Clubs most. We are ready to serve families in Thurston County this fall.
