Tami Collins Welcomed as New BGCTC Resource Development Director
Tami Collins joined Boys & Girls Clubs of Thurston County as the Director of Resource Development in February 2021. She brings to the position deep roots in Thurston County and a career serving youth. Over her 15 years at the Tumwater School District, Collins served as the McKinney-Vento Homeless Youth Services and Foster Care Program Coordinator, and the Executive Assistant to the Superintendent.
The Resource Development Director is the chief fundraising professional of the organization and raises funds for BGCTC to serve children and meet its mission. Collins works closely with the CEO, Board, staff, special event committees, and the community—including donors of all kinds.
“I worked with the Tumwater Club for many years as they supported my work to serve students qualifying as homeless, so I was aware of their dedication to kids,” says Collins. “As a parent, I also had the opportunity to see the changes in my son once he began working for BGCTC.”
“BGCTC does so much for Club Kids in terms of support, not just academically but socially and emotionally,” she says. “I am so honored and excited to serve kids and families in Thurston County!”
